Trust
Transparency
Credibility is a system, not a claim. These policies govern how MUTCARION reports, sources, corrects and funds its work.
Editorial principles
MUTCARION labels every piece of content by type: news, analysis, opinion, investigation, interview, documentary, culture or music. Reporting states what is known, what is not known and what remains contested. Contributors may disagree publicly with one another; the publication does not enforce a single line.
Corrections policy
When published content is materially wrong or changed, we append a labelled CORRECTION, CLARIFICATION or UPDATE with a timestamp and an explanation at the bottom of the article. Internal revision history is retained for every change, including who made it and when.
Source policy
Sources are stored as structured records: type (government, academic, corporate, news, public records, primary, interview, OSINT, other), title, publisher, URL, publication date, archive URL and journalist notes. Investigative pieces publish a SOURCES & METHODOLOGY section. Anonymity is granted only where there is a demonstrable risk to a source.
Intelligence policy
The intelligence desk works from public sources and open-source analysis. MUTCARION does not claim access to classified material, and does not present analytical judgement as verified fact.
AI policy
AI may assist editors with headline options, summaries, SEO descriptions, tagging, transcript handling and translation drafts. AI never publishes journalism, and generated suggestions are visually separated from approved editorial content until a human editor accepts them.
Funding
Funding sources are disclosed here as the organisation develops. No funder receives review rights over editorial content.
Ownership
MUTCARION MEDIA operates within the MUTCARION brand ecosystem, alongside MUTCARION RECORDS, ORIGINALS and TV. Ownership details are published here as they are formalised.
Conflicts of interest
Where a story touches a MUTCARION business, including the record label or its artists, that relationship is disclosed inside the article itself.
Advertising policy
Commercial material is labelled and kept structurally separate from editorial content. Advertisers have no input into coverage.
Privacy
Analytics are first-party and privacy-conscious: page views, sessions, reading depth, referrer, coarse country and device. We do not collect unnecessary personal information, and personalisation is optional and can be switched off in your account.
